HOW IMPORTANT IS THE CROWD?

Do me a favor! Open up this video on YouTube and "subscribe" to my YouTube feed. For now, I'll be including the videos here on the WN site, but some stuff may be YouTube posts only. (I want to see if I'm able to connect/reach/build relationships with a whole other technological segment of the globe!)

Todd,

You bring up a good point ... actually one that I have been "harping on" for some time now ... I am not a music person, so I cannot speak to how the leaders are as far as leading and teaching ... how high the songs are, etc ...

But I can speak to expectations ... the reason people are so "touched" or "changed" or "ministered to" is exactly what you said ... EXPECTATIONS

I have had several people ask me, "Why do you think we cannot have a PASSION experience without going away ?"

My response is always ... YOU CAN ... YOU SHOULD ... but when you are at home you have the pot roast to worry about ... the kids to listen to ... clothes to wash ... SOMETHING

But when you go away ... that is time that you have INTENTIONALLY SET ASIDE ... you are determined to have no distractions, etc ... you expect something ... you look for something ...

We can have that here ... but we have to be deliberate ... we have to choose to have a relationship with our Father here ... and not wait until we are away ...

EXPECT GOD TO MEET WITH YOU HERE ... come to church expecting Him to move ... forget about everything else ...

Todd,
Yes, yes! i have seen churches that are growing and the pastor was not out of the ordinary, the worship team was ok. The difference was that the congregation steps through the front door expecting an intimate experience with the Holy Spirit. That expectation is infectious.

People that go to retreats such as the Walk To Emmaus many times expect an encounter with God. They are HUNGRY for that encounter.

You get very little from public worship unless you prepare yourself. Expecting to meet with Jesus is always better than only being awake 15 minutes before service.
